Who We Are
Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with an incredible team of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens in need. We are based out of Davis County, Utah, and help many of our local and surrounding shelters.
We take in abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric, neonatal, sick, injured, and overlooked cats, including cats who are struggling in shelters. The cats and kittens then go into foster homes. As needed, we get them medical care, rehabilitation, and support to bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption.
Our adoption and foster program includes spay or neuter, vaccinations, and microchips before cats and kittens are placed into loving adoptive homes. We also care for special needs cats, hospice cats, special needs or senior feral cats who cannot be released outdoors, and other cats with needs that make adoption unlikely. Those cats stay in our program as permanent fosters so they always receive the care they need.
Friends of Community Cats also participates in Trap-Neuter-Return, provides food, shelters, and medical care for dozens of community cats daily, and assists families with medical care and food for their animals whenever we are able.
We mostly focus on cats, but we also help other animals when we are able, including dogs, small animals, and livestock. We are 100% volunteer and foster based, and we rely on donations from the community to care for the animals in our organization.
Director Kali Cristaudo founded the organization in 2012. Since then, Friends of Community Cats has grown into an incredible team of volunteers and has saved thousands of lives. We will continue to save more lives every year.
We actively rescue abandoned, abused, neglected, sick, injured, senior, neonatal, and overlooked cats who need a safe place and a chance for a new life.
Our volunteers coordinate medical care, rehabilitation, socialization, and daily support to bring cats back to health and prepare them for adoption.
We spay or neuter, vaccinate, microchip, and match adoptable cats and kittens with loving families through a careful adoption program.
Foster homes give cats and kittens a nurturing place to heal, grow, and wait until they are ready for adoption or long-term care.
